Young ballet dancers from Kazakhstan have won gold, silver and bronze medals in Spain, Tengrinews.kz reports citing information center of East Kazakhstan oblast. “Young ballet dancers of East Kazakhstan regional ballet school for gifted children amazed other participants of the international contest Sea, Sun, Festival! with their skills. The girls brought 3 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze awards,” the report said. More than 70 dance groups from different post soviet countries took part in the festival. In Spain Kazakhstan was represented by 22 young ballet girls from the city of Semey. "The girls performed classical ballet in single parts, duets and group choreographic shows. They performed Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker ballet and The Corsair waltz in classic section. They danced Kazakh and Irish dances in the national dances section of the competition. The Kazakhstan ballet dancers took gold for their Waltz of the Flowers and Kazakh national dance," the organizers said. Students of the public ballet school for gifted children of East Kazakhstan oblast had won at the different contests in France, Switzerland, Finland, Italy, Bulgaria, Latvia, Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan before.
