Nailya Allakhverdiyeva won in Best Curatorial Project category at Sergey Kuryokhin award for the exhibition Bride’s Face. Kazakhstan Modern Art, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the award’s website. In 2012 Allakhverdiyeva was a manager of the 3rd festival of modern art ArtBatFest-2012. The exhibition Bride’s Face was the first big retrospective of modern Kazakhstan in Russia. The curator presented a range of world-famous (Yerbol Meldibekov, Said Atabekov, Almagul Menlibayeva, Rustam Khalfin) and amateur artists (Aleksander Yugai, Natalya Dyu) of Kazakhstan. Videoart Vot by Viktor Alimpiyev was tagged the best media object. Anton Kochurkin with Arkhstoyaniye-2012.Leto received an award in the Art in Public Space category. Yekaterina Andreyeva wrote the Best Text on Modern Art. Sergey Kuryokhin award is the annual Russian award in modern art. It is held since 2009.
