The concert with the Kazakhstani ballet dancers will take place on October 30 and 31 in Milan as a part of the EXPO-2015 official closing. Dancers will perform a pas de deux from the third act of Swan Lake and pas de deux from the Sleeping Beauty ballet.
&ldquoIt is an honor for our theater and especially ballet to present classical pas de deux on the stage of the Milan theater. One year ago, La Scala company came to us. The Art Director Makhar Vaziev seeing our Swan Lake rehearsals was impressed with our professionalism and invited our dancers to perform at the closing of the EXPO-2015,&rdquo Tursynbek Nurkaliev, the Director of the Astana Opera ballet company said.
&ldquoI will be visiting the famous Italian theater for the first time. Performing on the same stage along with celebrated artists is a great honor for me. I am happy to be going there with my partner Yerkin Rakhmatullayev. It is exciting on the one hand, but on the other hand it a huge responsibility, because we are presenting not only our theater but the whole country,&rdquo Aigerim Beketaeva said.
The Astana Opera ballet dancers will start their rehearsals with Italian colleagues five days before the first performance. Costumes for the performance were designed by the Italian Franca Scuarciapino.
