The Astana Opera has prepared The Nutcracker ballet for the season of wonders and magic. The ballet choreographed by an extraordinarily gifted Yuriy Grigorivich premiers on December 25. The Nutcracker will be presented on the main stage of Kazakhstan on December 27, 28 and 31, Tengrinews reports.
Dancers of the Astana Opera will perform in The Nutcracker: Marie – Madina Basbayeva, Aigerim Beketova, Anel Rustemova, Gaukhar Usina, The Nutcracker – Prince – Bakhriyar Adamzhan, Doszhan Tabyldy, Tair Gatauov and Yerkin Rakhmatullayev.
The Nutcracker is a poetic story of love and adolescence. The heroine and all the viewers realize that the funny exterior of the Nutcracker doll hides a brave heart. Love and compassion of Marie towards the toy turn into a fateful meeting with the Prince.
The choreographer has not only seen harmony in Tchaikovsky’s music. Grigorivich vision of the music of the great composer closely has turned the fairy tale into philosophical contemplations of the impossibility of reaching the perfect happiness.
“This fairy tale puts us in a different reality. It makes us believe that the heroine’s hopes will come true. One can especially feel it in the ball scene in the second act,” Tursynbek Nurkaliev of the Astana Opera said.
“A complex choreographic language differentiates Yuriy Grigorivich’s ballet. It is pure classics. All dancers want to perform in The Nutcracker. The process of growing up, transforming from a child into an adolescent takes great mastery from a ballerina. Our dancers are breathing this ballet, rehearsing and cannot wait to see the audience,” Nurkaliev said.
