Tengrinews.kz - A resident of Aktau called an ambulance as a joke. Now he faces a fine of 80,000 tenge. Details were shared by the press service of the Mangystau Regional Emergency and Urgent Medical Aid Station, citing Lada.
The incident occurred on October 14. The emergency call center (103) received a call from a resident of Aktau, reporting the intake of a large number of medications.
"When the ambulance crew went to the call, the resident admitted that he had called as a prank," the medical institution's press service reported.
As a result, the call was registered as false - under Article 438 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. According to this article, making a deliberately false call to emergency services, including the fire department, police, ambulance, or emergency services, carries a fine for individuals of 30 MCI (monthly calculation index) amounting to 110,760 tenge in 2024.
In the case of a repeat offense committed within a year after the imposition of an administrative penalty, or during the liquidation of emergencies, fires, or the aftermath of natural disasters, the fine for individuals increases to 60 MRP (221,520 tenge in 2024).
As a result, the man was fined 80,000 tenge for making a deliberately false call to emergency services.
Earlier, there were reports that ambulance services would not be available 24/7 for all Kazakhstani citizens. However, later the Ministry of Health clarified that nothing would change for the citizens.
