Tengrinews.kz - The orbit of the International Space Station (ISS) was adjusted to prevent a potential collision with space debris.

According to Roscosmos's Telegram channel, the ISS orbit was raised by nearly 800 meters to avoid the debris.

"At 11:09 p.m. Moscow time (1:09 a.m. Astana time), the engines of the Progress MS-28 cargo spacecraft were fired for 330.90 seconds, providing a thrust of 0.5 meters per second, which raised the ISS orbit by approximately 800 meters," the statement read.

Following the maneuver, the station's orbital period is now 92.86 minutes, with an inclination of 51.66 degrees. The ISS's average orbital altitude stands at 417.35 kilometers, with a minimum altitude of 416.20 kilometers and a maximum altitude of 430.86 kilometers.

Earlier, Kazakhstan planned to launch its first rocket into space, with new details emerging from the Ministry of Digital Development.
