According to Azerbaijan Airlines, there were 67 people on board, including five crew members.
"Among the passengers were: 6 citizens of Kazakhstan, 42 citizens of Azerbaijan, 3 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, 16 citizens of Russia, and one person's nationality is being clarified. All crew members were citizens of Azerbaijan.
As a result of the incident, 29 people, including 3 children, were hospitalized. Of these: 15 are citizens of Azerbaijan, 9 are citizens of Russia, 2 are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and the nationality of 3 others is being clarified," stated the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
A total of 571 inquiries were received on the hotline.
By order of the Tupkaragan District Akimat (local government administration), a local state of emergency has been declared.
A total of 482 people, 97 units of equipment, 2 aircraft, and 10 canine teams have been mobilized to manage the aftermath.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing with the involvement of canine units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Coordination and information exchange between the emergency ministries of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Azerbaijan are being conducted via videoconference.
Earlier, it was reported that the head of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the crash site in Aktau.
