Kazakhstan's crews complete 11th stage of Africa Eco Race-2015

The eleventh penultimate stage of the Africa Eco Race-2015 finished on January 11, in Saint Louis, Mauritania, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz. The competitors had to drive 494 km, of which 201 km were special sections.

The French crew representing Bugg Afrique team - Jean Antoine Sabatier and Jean-luc Rojat (#201, BUGGA ONE) maintained the leading position both in its T1 group (significantly modified all-terrain vehicles) and in the overall standings (comprising the results of all the stages). This time, it took 2 hours 30 minutes and 4 seconds for the French racers to cover the distance.

The crew of Andrey Cherednikov and Dmitriy Tsyro (#218, Hummer H3) from Off Road Kazakhstan team showed the best result among Kazakhstan’s crews. Their time was 2 hours 42 minutes and 58 seconds. As a result, the Kazakh crew got the second line in its T1 group, but still was twelfth in the overall rankings.

Another crew from Kazakhstan Kanat Shagirov and Alexander Moroz (#215, Toyota Hilux Overdrive) representing Mobilex Racing Team came seventh at the eleventh stage and fourth in the overall rankings. They drove 3 hours 6 minutes and 28 seconds.

Yuriy Sazonov and Arslan Sakhimov (#216, Hummer H3) from Mobilex Racing Team were sixth in T1 group according to the results of the eleventh stage and still maintained their fifth position in the general standings. The crew's time was 3 hours and 5 seconds.

The only Kazakhstan’s crew in T2 group (all-terrain vehicles with small difference from production models) Marat Abykayev and Andrey Chipenko (#217, Nissan Patrol) from Off Road Kazakhstan team came fourth among T2 cars in the eleventh stage. They covered the distance in 3 hours 36 minutes and 47 seconds. Hence, the Kazakh crew still held the 13th line in the overall standings.

As for bikers, the only biker representing Kazakhstan Vadim Pritulyak (#104, KTM 500) from Mobilex Racing Team finished the stage first in his +450 group. It also enabled the Ukrainian biker capped for Kazakhstan to rise up to the 8th position in the overall standings.
