Kazakhstan designer to present her collection at Saint Petersburg Fashion Week

Kazakhstan designer Kamila Kurbani will demonstrate her new collection at the 6th Aurora Fashion Week Russia (AFW) that will be held in Saint Petersburg, Tengrinews.kz reports. Aurora Fashion Week is the third-biggest fashion event of Eastern Europe. Thom Browne, Costume National, David Koma, Custo Barcelona and Mark Fast demonstrated their collections at Aurora Fashion Week in recent years. AFW will take place on October 15-20 and 40 Russian and foreign designers will take part at the show this year. Kurbani said that her new 2013 spring-summer collection was made of natural fabric. Both women’s and men’s clothes are traditionally included into her collection. “I am sure that my 2013 pret-a-porter spring-summer collection will be a success, because it is very modern. I tried to develop the theme of flamboyant Asia through delicate prints, bright colors and fabric. I used paisley pattern that is also known as “Indian cucumber” and also other eastern patterns, including “ikat”. Flower theme is still popular this season and that’s why I have used floral prints,” the designer said. Kazakhstan citizens, who foillow fashion trends, will also have a chance to see some fresh images on the third day of Kazakhstan Fashion Week that will be held on October 24-26, 2012. Kazakhstan designers Lariya Jakambayeva (Lariya) and Saltanat Baimukhamedova (Salta) will demonstrate their collections at Aurora Fashion Week Russia that will be held on April 2013.
