US Secretary of State John Kerry supports Kazakhstan’s accession into the WTO

US Secretary of State John Kerry, following his meeting with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov, stated that the USA supported Kazakhstan’s bid to access the WTO, Russia’s RIA Novosti reports.

US Secretary of State John Kerry, following his meeting with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov, stated that the USA supported Kazakhstan’s bid to access the WTO, Russia’s RIA Novosti reports.

According to the State Department spokesperson, “John Kerry expressed firm support to Kazakhstan’s entry into the WTO”. John Kerry also stated that the USA “supported sovereignty, territorial integrity and growing leadership qualities of Kazakhstan in the international arena”. Secretary of State didn’t specify what might pose a threat to Kazakhstan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.


According to the State Department spokesperson, John Kerry and Yerlan Idrissov dwelt on strategic partnership and cooperation in regional and global problems. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in NY.
