Kazakhstan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia appointed

The Kazakhstan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia has been appointed, Tengrinews reports citing the official presidential website of Akorda. "Bakhyt Batyrshayev has been appointed Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) by a presedential decree," the message says. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is an international organization consisting of 57 member states. The organization proclaims itself "the collective voice of the Muslim world" and works to "safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony". Besides, Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Canada Konstantin Zhygalov was appointed the Kazakhstan Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica in combination. Before this appointment the interests of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia were represented by Bakhtiyar Tassymov.
