Voter turnout has already reached 18.16%, according to Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Vladimir Foos. “This is a very high turnout for 10 in the morning," he said. Here is a layout of voter turnout by 10 a.m. in the 14 oblasts of Kazakhstan: 23.4% in Akmola oblast, 16% in Aktobe oblast, 25.2% in Almaty oblast, 11% in Atyrau obast, 27.2% in East Kazakhstan oblast, 21.6% in Zhambyl oblast, 12% in West Kazakhstan oblast, 20.6% in Karaganda oblast, 21.8% in Kyzylorda oblast, 24.8% in Kostanay oblast, 16.8 in Mangistau oblast, 20.3 in Pavlodar oblast, 26.5% in North Kazakhstan oblast, 11.3% in South Kazakhstan oblast. By 10 a.m. voter turnout in Astana made 9.1% and in Almaty – 5.2%. The total of 9725 voting stations are operating all over the country.
