Independent researchers from Kazakhstan and the United States are planning to try and repeat the Philadelphia Experiment, Express-K reports. This time the attempt will be made on the firm ground in Kazakhstan, not at sea. The Philadelphia Experiment was a naval military experiment that was allegedly carried out at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA sometime around October 28, 1943. The US Navy destroyer escort USS Eldridge was claimed to be rendered invisible or "cloaked" to enemy devices. There is not real proof to confirm that the story is true. The US Navy maintains that no such experiment was ever conducted, and details of the story contradict well-established facts about the Eldridge itself, as well as commonly accepted physics. Head of Astana-based 360 Degrees club studying paranormal phenomena Kuandyk Zhumanov explained that a group of American enthusiasts failed to obtain a permission to conduct the experiment in the United States and were looking to make it elsewhere. They are considering other countries as the possible grounds for the experiment, and Kazakhstan is their most likely option. According to Zhumanov, Donald Smow a physicist from New York is spearheading the project funded by large businessmen from the United States and Australia. The experiment will be scaled-down from its original size. The destroyer will be presumably replaced with a train wagon. The date and time of the experiment have not been disclosed yet.
