Tennis: Kukushkin wins bach one linein ATP ranking

Kazakhstan’s tennis professional Mikhail Kukushkin has moved one line up in the updated Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) ranking, Vesti.kz reports. Kukushkin is ranked 156th in the updated ranking. Other two Kazakhstan tennis professionals kept their positions in the TOP-200 of the best tennis players. Andrey Golubev is 163rd and Yevgeny Korolev is 189th. Yury Shukin moved to the 468th line from the 470th one and Denis Yevseyev moved down to the 605th line. Aleksey Kedryuk is ranked 609th at present. Serbia’s Novak Djokovic is still the leader of the ranking. Swiss Roger Federer and British Andy Murray follow him. The best Kazakhstan female tennis professionals have moved down in the Women Tennis Association (WTA) ranking: Yaroslava Shvedova moved down to the 32nd line (earlier she was ranked 30th), Kseniya Pervak became 84th (earlier 72th) and Yuliya Putintseva left the TOP-100 of the best tennis professionals and is ranked 101st now. American Serena Williams has become the leader of the ranking starting this week. Belarus’ Viktoria Azarenka moved down to the second place in spite of her victory over Williams in the finals of the WTA Doha tournament, Russia’s Maria Sharapova is ranked third.
