The best Continental Hockey League (KHL) player Teemu Lassila from Novokuznetsk Metallurgist will be capped for Kazakhstan's Barys hockey club Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Sport-Express.ru.

According to the periodical, Finnish goalkeeper rejected Lokomotive and Torpedo offers. These two hockey clubs were also interested in the 29-y.o. hockey player. Last year Lassila won the world championship as part of the Finnish national team. He has played 50 matches in the current Continental Hockey League season saving 92.5% of pucks and missing an average of 2.14 pucks per match.

According to the experts, it was Lassila, whose game helped Metallurgist fight to the last minute for a place among top eight clubs in KHL Eastern Conference. The goalkeeper will sign the contract with Barys after April 30.
