Tennis: Czechs outlast Switzerland in 7-hour match

Czech’s duo of Tomas Berdych and Lukas Rosol matched up against Switzerland’s Marco Chiudinelli and Stanislas Wawrinka played the longest match in the Davis Cup history in February in Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland, the official website of the tournament reports. The Doubles match lasted for seven hours and two minutes. The Czech duo won with the score of 6:4, 5:7, 6:4, 6:7 (3:7), 24:22. The match consisted of the record 91 games. The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. It is held annually since 1990. Earlier the longest Davis Cup match lasted for six and half hours.
