“There have been 24838 days of peace since the end of the Great Patriotic War. Participants of the event were supposed to make this number of push-ups,” the author of the idea said. There were no restrictions on age or social status for the participants and everyone was welcome to take part.

2000 people took part in the event, including officials of Taldykorgan’s Akimat (municipal authorities). Every person, who participated in the relay, had to do at least 10 push-ups, the newspaper reports.
