Gennady Golovkin’s coach Abel Sanchez has talked about the toughest opponent for Triple G Martin Murray, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

“Martin Murray is a big middleweight, he is over 6 feet tall. He got robbed in Argentina. He got robbed in Germany. He is really the uncrowned champion. So we are taking him very seriously. If Gennady disposes of him, it will not be that Martin was not that. It is because Gennady is on a different level,” Sanchez told fighthype.com.

According to Sanchez, in terms of big fights, it is not up to them who Gennady will face in the ring. “Unfortunately, it is not up to us. We are willing to fight anybody. If they want to fight they can call Tom Loeffler and either make or offer or make themselves available. But it seems that the bigger names keep avoiding him and keep taking fights that are less money or less dangerous. (…) Gennady has been on the scene for 2.5 years. We got time. Unfortunately he is 32 years old, but we still have 3 or 4 years of good action for the fans,” Sanchez stated.

At the moment, the WBA Super, IBO and WBC Interim middleweight champion from Kazakhstan is getting ready for the fight against Murray. Sanchez noted that in a week time Golovkin would be ready for the fight.

The Golovkin-Murray fight will be streamed live via HBO on February 21 from Monaco.
