Sport officials are negotiating with nine-time Kazakhstan snowboarding champion Valeriya Tsoy who says Ust-Kamenogorsk authorities have given her no chances to qualify for 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, Tengrinews.kz reports citing KTK TV Channel.

The 24-y.o. athlete complains that the sport authorities expect her to win medals, but provide no money for her sport trips. According to the athlete’s training schedule she was supposed to travel abroad to train on snow as far back as one month ago. However at present she is forced to practice in her native town on the pavement and at her own expenses.

Tsoy was officially invited to the oblast’s Sport Department on September 14. There she was offered to sign a special contract. The sport authorities also promised to allocate money for her trips. The snowboarder says that she found a common ground with the sport officials. However she is planning to check the contract very carefully before signing it.

“I am not going to sign the contract until we discuss each paragraph of the contract thoroughly and until the head of the Department signs the contract,” Valeriya Tsoy said.
