Kazakhstan wrestlers won 9 passes to London Olympics-2012, Tengrinews.kz citing press-service of Astana Department of Tourism, Physical Education and Sports.

Greco-Roman wrestlers Almat Kebispayev, Nurmakhan Tynaliyev and Askhat Dilmukhamedov won three passes to the Olympics at the World Championship in Istanbul. Women wrestling team won two Olympics licenses: Zhuldyz Eshimova-Turtbayeva won the third place in the World Championship, Guzel Manyurova was the fifth, which also gave her a spot in the next year's Olympics.

Free-style wrestlers were the most successful at the Championship. Daulet Niyazbekov and Daulet Zhumagaziyev won medals. Two more Kazakhstan sportsmen gained their passage to the Olympics: Teimuraz Tagiyev and Abdulkhakim Shapiyev.

The World Wrestling Championship in Istanbul was attended by 900 sportsmen from 104 countries.

London Olympics will be held from July 28 to August 12, 2012. This will be the 30th summer games and London will be the first city to host the Olympics for the third time. The Olympics were held in London in 1908 and 1948.
