Kazakhstan rifle shooter won Olympic license

Kazakhstan sportswoman Olga Dovgun won an spot at the London Olympics in rifle shooting, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Astana department of physical culture, tourism and sport. The two time world champion was 6th at the Asian Championship in Qatar. According to the rules, Olympic spot are granted only to the three top winners of the Asian Tournament. However, the Chinese shooters had won their Olympic spots earlier. The third place was also won by a Chinese sportswoman, but China had reach the maximum number of spots, that’s why the license was granted to Dovgun. So, Dovgun won the second spot in shooting for Kazakhstan. The first one was won in 2010 at the world championship in Munich by Vyacheslav Podlesnyi from Pavlodar.
