Golubev won over Yuzhnyi in first round of Australian Open

Kazakhstan tennis-player Andrey Golubev gained his passage into the second round of Australian Open, the tournament’s official website writes. In the first game Golubev played against one of the best Russian tennis-players Mikhail Yuzhnyi. The game was very intense. The winner was defined only after 5 sets. Kazakhstan sportsman won 7:5, 6:7, 6:4, 4:6, 6:3. In the next round Golubev will play against French sportsman Richard Gasquet, who is ranked 18th in the ATP rating. The victory over Yuzhnyi was the fourth victory for Golubev at this tournament. In the end of 2011 Kazkahstan sportsman lost many lines in the ATP rating and had to start the Australian Open with qualification rounds. Another Kazakhstan tennis-player Mikhail Kukushkin will start his participation in the Australian tournament today, January 17. He will play against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez from Spain.
