Sportsmen from Astana brought more Olympic licenses to Kazakhstan national team than any other city's athletes, Vesti.kz reports citing Astana Department of Tourism, Physical Culture and Sport. 17 Astana citizens won 19 licenses to the London-2012 Olympics.

Almaty sportsmen are in the second place: 27 athletes won 16 licenses. South-Kazakhstan oblast holds the third place with 12 licenses, one per each sportsman. Sportsmen from all Kazakhstan regions won some number of the Olympic licenses, but the minimum number - 1 license - is with Akmola oblast.

Kazakhstan sportsmen will compete in London in 25 sports; this is the more extended representation of the country in its Olympic history. U.S. national team has the same number of licenses, but considering the team sports Americans are sending 4 times more sportsmen to London.

Air rifle shooter Olga Dovgun is the most experienced participant of the Olympics among all 115 Kazakhstan sportsmen going to London. This will be the fourth Olympics for the 41-y.o. athlete. The youngest participant is 16-y.o. Moldir Azimbayeva from South-Kazakhstan oblast. She will compete in gymnastics. The average age of Kazakhstan Olympians is 24.

The 30th Olympic Games will be held in London on July 27 to August 12.
