Organizers of Dakar Rally Raid have announced the list of participants and all Kazakhstan race drivers have learned their registration numbers, Vesti.kz reports. Three Kazakhstan off-road vehicles will participate in this year's rally along with the Kamaz truck that won bronze last year. Earlier it became known that Arthur Ardavichus truck crew would drive No. 517 in the rally. Andrey Cherednikov, Bauyrzhan Issabayev and Aidyn Rakhimbayev off-roaders will drive No. 406, 409 and 410 correspondingly. Antanas Juknevicius, manager of Astana rally team, said that the off-roaders had already been shipped out from the French port of Le Havre to Peru. “I hope that our team will finish the raid with excellent results. Although, of course, it takes years to gain experience. Our strong points are high professionalism of our crews and knowledge of the race track,” Juknevicius said speaking about his forecast for the raid. “Dakar Rally is a dream of any race driver,” Aidyn Rakhimbayev said. “The participation in this raid itself is huge victory. We just need to complete the rally without any excessive accidents.” Dakar will kick off from the city of Lima, Peru, on January 5, 2013 and will finish in Santiago, the capital of Chili, on January 20. Kazakhstan crews will have to cover more than 9 000 kilometers in 15 days in the conditions of Peruvian and Argentinean off-road where air temperature can reach 40 degrees centigrade.
