TEDxAlmaty creative conference will make Almaty a better place

TEDxAlmaty conference dedicated to the “ideas that could make Almaty city a better place” will take place in Almaty on September 16, Tengrinews.kz reports. Speakers of the conference will present their ideas in business, ecology, culture, urban planning and other areas. 400 people will take part in the event. Those wishing to take part in the conference can register here. The registration started on August 9 and will finish on September 9. “Due to the fact that the number of participants is limited, we’d like to see active, passionate, forward-looking people of different backgrounds at the conference, who are united in their desire to find new ideas, new prospects and to share their own ideas,” the organizers press-release reads. TED Conference (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an annual event that has been held in the USA since 1984. The scientists, politicians, business entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, engineers usually take part in the conference. “Ideas worth spreading” is the motto of the conference. Bill Gates, Albert Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Guilbert, Sir Richard Brenson, Nandan Nilekani, Phillip Stark, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Isabel Allende and British Prime-Minister Gordon Brown have addressed the TED conference in the past years. Freshly released Macintosh computer and Sony Company’s first compact disk were demonstrated at the first TED conference.
