Muturganchik Clown appointed Kazakh State Circus deputy director

Well-known Kazakhstan clown Murat Muturganov has been appointed Deputy Director for Creative Development of Almaty-based Kazakh State Circus, reports.

“I am responsible for the development of new shows that would attract audience. I am also in charge of development of new circus acts for our artists that could be shown during tours to the U.S., Germany, Italy and other countries with to represent Kazakhstan Circus Arts,” 28-y.o. Muturganov said.

“We are going to hold the first World Circus Arts Festival on September 15-16 prior to Almaty City Day. This event will be held annually in Almaty Circus from now on,” the new circus deputy director said. He added that Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, American, Ukrainian and Belorussian artists will visit Almaty for the Festival this year.

Almaty Circus managers are also considering setting up a New Year show. “We have invited a foreigner, who will direct the show. We hope that he would breath a new spirit into our shows,” Muturganov said.

Murat Muturganov used to be the youngest clown of Almaty Circus. He started acting in Muturganchiks circus group (acrobatics, balancing acts, juggling, step-dance and clown’s tricks) when he was three years old. He was awarded with several international prizes and got the title of the Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan when he was 22.
