The international championship will be held on May 9-12. The annual tournament will be held for the 4th time. It will be participated by 27 countries. Kazakhstan will be represented by 7 knights from Pavlodar, Almaty, Petropavlovsk and Stepnogorsk. Three re-enactors representing Pavlodar club of historical fencing The Northern Tower will be the core of the Kazakhstan team.

The club’s coach Yaroslav Aleksandrov said that Kazakhstan has around 5 historical fencing clubs. Organizers of the international tournament invited Kazakhstan participants but financing was a problem for the clubs. According to Aleksandrov, Pavlodar re-enactors told Akim (Governor) of Pavlodar oblast Yerlan Aryn about the invitation to the tournament and he promised to help them and provide funding.
