Kazakhstan’s model from Astana, 19-year-old Aigerim Kozhakhan has entered the Top-10 of the Miss United Continent-2014, which was held on September 13 in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Tengrinews reports.
The Astana beauty also entered the Top 10 of the national costume competition of the beauty pageant.
Aigerim Kozhakhan said that the beauty contest was an unforgettable experience, but she made a decision not to participate in the beauty contests anymore. “It is not that I did not like it (the beauty contest), I always liked beauty pageants. The point is that you get tired of them, and, of course, you worry too much,” Kazakh model said.
Aigerim is studying tourism in the college of Astana-based Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The 19-y.o. model is the holder of Miss Almaty-2013 crown. She also represented Kazakhstan at one of the most prestigious beauty pageants Miss Universe-2013, where Aigerim replaced Miss Kazakhstan-2012 Zhazira Nurimbetova, who was initially supposed to represent Kazakhstan, but did not take part in the contest due to a decision of the Kazakhstani organizers.
Kazakhstan took part in the Miss United Continent beauty contest for the first time ever.
31 beauties from all over the world competed in the beauty pageant. Geisha Montes de Oca of Dominican Republic became Miss United Continent 2014. Indian Gail Da'Silva was awarded the 1st runner-up title followed by Colombian Paola Ruiz.
