Permanent representative of Kazakhstan in UNESCO Olzhas Suleimenov has expressed hope that Kazakhstan will not build a nuclear power station, Tengrinews.kz reports from Nazarbayev University, where the first Nazarbayev Readings are held.

Earlier Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies declared that Kazakhstan will not give up nuclear energy, while chairman of Samruk-Kazyna Umirzak Shukeyev noted that Kazakhstan needed to quickly make up its mind about construction of a nuclear power station .
