Kazakhstan Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov suggested to create the first Kazakhstan institute of nuclear security at the Forum of Kazakhstan Scientists in Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports. Education Minister also suggested to initiate a tuition program for foreign citizens at Nazarbayev University. Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the Forum as well.

“Thanks to your political wisdom and long-sightedness Kazakhstan has become the first country in history to give up nuclear arsenal, that’s why it would be logical to establish the first institute of nuclear sefety in Kazakhstan,” Zhumagulov told Nazarbayev.

The Forum of Kazakhstan Scientists opened in Almaty on December 1. It was timed to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan independence. The main subject of the event is discussion of scientific achievements of the 20 years.
