Intergovernmental Kazakh-Indonesian committee to meet in Jakarta August 21

The intergovernmental Kazakh-Indonesian committee is to meet in Jakarta August 21 to discuss ways to strengthen the trade and economic cooperation between the two nations, Altai Abibullayev, a spokesman of the Government Mass Communications Service, told a briefing August 19. “August 21 Kazakhstan’s Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning Erbolat Dossayev will be in Jakarta to hold the first sitting of the intergovernmental committee”, Mr. Abibullayev said. According to him, the two sides are to dwell on launching a working group for trade and investments among other things. “I want to emphasize the sitting is a result of President Nazarbayev’s visit to Indonesia last year. It’s the first sitting since the two sides established diplomatic relations”, he elaborated.
