Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev to meet at least three times in the months to come

President Vladimir Putin of Russia and President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan are expected to meet at least 3 times in the nearest months, Newskaz.ru reports, citing Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrissov as saying.

“The XI Forum of Transborder Cooperation to be attended by both Presidents will be held September 30 in Atyrau, West Kazakhstan. The event follows the summit of the Caspian littoral sates to be held September 29 in Astrakhan. Before the summit the two leaders are to meet at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Dushanbe, Tajikistan”, Russia’s RIA Novosti reported, citing Mr. Idrissov as saying following the talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

Now Mr. Lavrov is on a working trip to Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan. According to the Russia’s Foreign Ministry, “the sides are discussing the current state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation, integration within Eurasia, and acute issues on the international agenda”.
