Nursultan Nazarbayev will discuss terrorism and extremism in China, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry.

On June 6 Nursultan Nazarbayev will pay an official visit to China. Kazakhstan President will discuss security and stability during the meeting of SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) member-states.

“Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the 12th meeting of the council of the heads of SCO member-states in Beijing. The meeting is to result in signing of several documents and approval of a new edition of the statement on political and diplomatic measures and mechanisms of SCO response to situations threatening peace, security and stability in the region, as well as in adoption of a program of cooperation between SCO member-countries in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2013-2015,” Altai Abibullayev said at the briefing on June 4.

On the first day of the official visit Nursultan Nazarbayev will meet with the President of China Hu Jintao. “The coming official visit of Kazakhstan President to China will become another important event that will further promote Kazakhstan-Chinese comprehensive and strategic partnership. A joint declaration is to be signed in the end of the presidents’ meeting,” the official representative said.

“In the meeting of the council of heads of SCO member-states the parties will exchange their opinions on additional measures on enhancement of friendship and cooperation between SCO member countries and prospects of further SCO developments, as well as on current international and regional issues,” Abibullayev said.
