Nursultan Nazarbayev meets Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his official visit to the UAE, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of Kazakh President.

During the meeting, the sides discussed key areas of the bilateral cooperation in trade and economy, investment and culture. Nursultan Nazarbayev and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also broached the current issues of the regional and international agenda.

Kazakhstan’s President marked the high dynamics of the UAE's development stressing the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two countries in all the main areas of cooperation over the last years.

Besides, the UAE continue to remain the largest investors of Kazakhstan among the Middle Eastern countries. There is a number of examples of productive collaborations between the two countries – construction of the multifunctional complex Abu Dabi in Astana, Al Hilal Islamic bank and joint investment into Falah Growth Fund in Kazakhstan.

Within the frameworks of the Forum, Nursultan Nazarbayev also had a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Tun Razak to discuss a wide range of issues related to development of their countries' bilateral ties including trade and economy, investments, innovations and technology.

Besides, the President of Kazakhstan met Prime Minister of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel. Amont the topics covered at the meeting were economic cooperation, particularly trade and investments.

Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived in the UAE on October 28. He took part in the 10th World Islamic Economic Forum held in Dubai on October 28-30, which brought together more than 2,500 participants including heads of states, academics, experts, corporate managers, policy makers, businessmen and investors to discuss economic and business collaboration.

In addition, Kazakhstan’s President Nazarbayev received the Global Islamic Finance Award for his significant contribution into the development and promotion of Islamic finances at the regional and international levels.
