New Kazakhstan President’s special representative at Baikonur appointed

Mr. Rzakul Nurtayev, Vice Governor of Kyzylorda oblast, has been appointed President’s special representative at Baikonur cosmodrome, KazTag Agency reports.

“Upon coordination with the President’s Administration, Vice Governor shall act as a special representative of the country’s President at Baikonur”, Interior Policy Department reported March 7.

Besides, Mr. Nurtayev will be in charge of the region’s agriculture and environment issues.

According to Kzylorda oblast Governor Mr. Krymbek Kusherbayev, Mr. Nurtayev has a 20-year experience of working at Baikonur and is well aware of all the issues. Besides, he is Director General of the state-run Infrakos enterprise under the Aerospace Committee of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Outgoing Sabit Kozhakhmetov has been relieved of his duties of President’s special representative at Baikonur as he is being transferred to another position. He has also left his post of Kzylorda oblast vice governor.
