On September 27-28 Nursultan Nazarbayev will render an official visit to Monaco on an invitation of Prince Albert II, Tengrinews reports citing the President’s official website.

During the visit the President is expected to meet with the Prince of Monaco. Nazarbayev will also meet with the country's businessmen. A delegation of Kazakhstan businessmen - representatives of banking, transport, construction, medical equipment, farming and grain production industries - are accompanying him to the Kazakhstan-Monaco business forum.

“The visit of Kazakhstan President is called to boost implementation of the existing agreement on development of cooperation with Monaco in a whole range of areas. The major directions have been specified in the Joint Declaration of the heads of the two countries signed in November 2012,” the message says.

Prince of Monaco Albert II visited Astana in 2012. The agreement on cooperation was signed between Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Monaco Economic Development Chamber during the visit. Besides, they discussed economy, investments, ecology and cultural-economic partnership. Albert II held the Era of Monaco Princess Grace Kelly exhibition in Astana.

During the Prince’s visit Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed hope that the visit would put a start to a long history of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Monaco and gave Albert II a traditional Kazakh hat, Malakhai.
