President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram of congratulations to the new King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Tengrinews reports citing the official website of the President.
Nazarbayev congratulated the new King on behalf of all the people of Kazakhstan. “I am sure that under your guidance Saudi Arabia will successfully continue the policies of service to the followers of Islam. I wish the country to reach new heights in its development and strengthen its role on the international arena,” the telegram said.
The President of Kazakhstan expressed hope that the relationships of friendship and partnership between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia would continue for the benefit of the two nations.
Nazarbayev also wished King Salman good health, well being, success in his work, and unity and peace to the people of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia's elderly King Abdullah died on January 23. He was replaced by his half-brother Salman, 79. Another of the late monarch's half-brothers, Moqren, was named the new crown prince.
