Massimov met with Georgian Prime-Minister

Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov met with his Georgian counterpart Nikolai Gilauri, Tengrinews.kz reports. The meeting was also attended by Kazakhstan Minister of Transport and Communications Berik Kamaliyev, Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev and President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Askar Mamin.

At the meeting with Prime-Minister Massimov Gilauri said that Georgia had prepared 6 documents for signing. They include a draft document on ralated to mutual traveling of the two countries' citizens, a draft document on standartization and metrology. “Political relations between our countries are at the highest level. We have joint projects on tourism and energy,” Gilauri said.

Prime-Minister of Georgia already visited Kazakhstan in April 2010. Kazakhstan is currently a major investor in Georgia. According to Kazakhstan Statistics Agency, commodities turnover between the two countries made $90 million in 2010: import made $21 million and export made $68.5 million.

Earlier Tengrinews.kz English reported about a business-forum in Tbilisi where memorandums of intentions were signed with Georgian buyers. Kazakh company Rza signed a contract on supply of rice grits and processed grain products, Kentau transformers factory will supply transformers for construction of power plant and Maslodel-Trade will work with Georgian partners to supply fat and oil products. 20 producers from Kazakhstan presented their goods at Kazakhstan-Georgian business-forum in Tbilisi.
