Belarus President Aleksander Lukashenko called to accelerate creation of the Eurasian Economic Union, BBC News reports.

“Let's finish by the end of 2013. As you know, Dmitriy Medvedev and Nursultan Nazarbayev say that we are quite able to do this,” Lukashenko told Russia TV-channel noting that the new formation will be a union, not a confederation. “This will be a union of sovereign countries. The union of countries with supranational bodie,” he added.

The agreement to create the Common Economic Union between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus was signed in Moscow on November 18. It is expected that the new union will become operational by 2015. Executive authorities of the Common Economic Union will be initially located in Moscow.

“When all the laws are executed, we will finally get to creation of the economic union between our countries by 2015, and maybe earlier. After that we will review the locations of the integration's authorities,” Kazakhstan President noted during his visit to Moscow.
