President Nursultan Nazarbayev said Kazakhstan intended to be more careful about what kind of monitors it invites to future elections, KazTAG reports.

"We will no longer invite biased hired-out observers and experts that criticize our elections,” he said at the meeting of Nur Otan political council on January 18.

The President noted that the majority of observers and experts tagged the last parliamentary elections fair and transparent. "The election results proved that all our programs are right, as are our goals and course,” he added.

The early Majilis elections were held in Kazakhstan on January 15. Nur Otan party gained 80.99 percent of votes, it is followed by Ak Zhol party with 7.47 percent of votes and Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan with 7.19 percent of votes. All three parties gained seating in the new Parliament.
