Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has arrived in Saint-Petersburg for participation in the G20 Summit, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President’s press-service.

Nazarbayev is expected take part in the summit and have bilateral meetings with other countries' presidents and head of international organizations.

Kazakhstan plans to discuss economic cooperation and offer recommendations on overcoming of the economic crisis at the G20 Summit in Saint-Petersburg, RIA Novosti writes citing the head of the center of strategic developments and analysis of Kazakhstan President’s Administration Azamat Abdymomunov.

“We expect it to be opinions exchange and discussions on the current issues. Kazakhstan delegation will attend, in particular, the first session that will be held tomorrow and will be dedicated to the economy and the economic crisis. Kazakhstan has something to say on these issues,” Abdymomunov said at the briefing on the sidelines of the G20 Summit on Wednesday.

According to him, although the official agenda of the summit does not include discussions of international problems like the situation in the Middle East, it is quite possible that the presidents will discuss this issue during informal meetings.

“Kazakhstan was invited to the G20. We plan to take part in discussion of regional integration, trade relations, financial and economic crisis. We plan to offer our recommendations on these issues,” Abdymomunov said.

He added that in contract to the international platforms like G8 and G20, the G-global platform initiated by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has a more global nature and enables representatives of global economic and scientific community “to get together and discuss issues and ideas”.
