Kazakhstan suggested the United Nations to hold anti-crisis conference in Astana in 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports.

“Kazakhstan’s initiative to summit the anti-crisis conference in Astana in 2013 and invite the UN to take part is on the agenda. It will be considered together with funding of the developments adopted at the previous sessions of the General Assembly,” permanent representative of Kazakhstan in the United Nations Byrganym Aitimova said.

“The anti-crisis conference will be dedicated to financial crisis, economic crisis, stability of the world’s currency and the future of this currency,” she explained.

The initiative to summon this conference was announced during the 5th Astana Economic Forum.

Kazakhstan delegation led by Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Umarov took part in different events at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly. These events included meetings of ministers of land-locked developing countries, meeting of ministers of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic-Speaking States, meeting of ministers of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue member-states and many other meetings.
