Azerbaijan will lease out a 0.5-hectare land lot in Khatinsk region of Baku to Kazakhstan for 49 years at the cost of 1 manat a year. Kazakhstan party will, in its turn, provide Azerbaijan with a 0.5-hectare land lot in the area of the Presidential Park in Astana, also for 49 years at the cost of 1 tenge per year. During discussion of the document in the upper chamber of Kazakhstan Parliament, one of the deputies stressed that foreign diplomatic missions should consider Astana’s architectural features when constructing their buildings. Deputy Foreign Minister Kairat Sarybai found this notice fair and said that Kazakhstan would not lose with the choice of place in Baku. “According to my colleagues, the land has a view on the Caspian Sea and is located in a prestigious region of Baku,” deputy Foreign Minister said.
