Kazakhstan and Fiji to sign visa-free regime

Kazakhstan has agreed to sign a mutual visa free entrance agreement with the Republic of Fiji, Tengrinews citing the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

Ambassdor Barlybai Sadykov leading the Kazakhstani delegation took part in the second summit of the Pacific Islands Development Forum (PIDF) from June 18 to 20 in Nadi, Fiji. The Kazakhstani delegates met with the Prime Minister of Fiji Frank Bainimarama and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ratu Inoke Kubuabola to discussed future cooperation in trade and tourism.

“The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Fiji have agreed to sign an accord to cancel visa requirements for holders of all types of passports,” the press office of Kazakhstani Minister of Foreign Affairs reported.

In addition, Kazakhstani delegates had meetings with a number of delegates from other island nations to promote Kazakhstan’s bid for non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council in 2017-2018.
