Kazakhstan Secretary of State awarded Swiss ambassador with honorary certificate

Kazakhstan Secretary of State Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Kazakhstan Stephan Nellen upon completion of his diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, Newskaz.ru reports citing Kazakhstan President’s press-service.

“On behalf of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed thanked the diplomat for his significant contribution into development of the bilateral relations, active participation in important Kazakhstan foreign-policy actions, especially during the period of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the OSCE,” the message writes.

Both countries have close positions on key issues of international and regional security. Switzerland renders active support to Kazakhstan’s accession into the WTO, the press-release states.

The commodities turnover between the two countries made $5 billion in 2011, tripling compared to 2010. 381 companies with Swiss capital are operating in Kazakhstan.

“Kul-Mukhammed awarded Neller with a honorary certificate of Kazakhstan for his achievements in enhancement of friendship and cooperation between the countries,” the press-service writes.
