A memorial to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev will be erected in Gagauzia, official website of the autonomous region in Moldova writes.

Bashkan (Governor) of Gagauzia Mikhail Formuzal said that the installation of Nazarbayev's bust will continue the practice of erecting memorials to outstanding politicians of the Turkic world at the Fame Alley in Komrat town. The decision to install the memorial was made on November 7 during the meeting of the Executive Commission of Gagauzia.

“The Fame Alley has the busts of those state public figures of the Turkic world, who made the most significant impact on establishment of their countries and impoving the quality of life,” Formuzal said in his video address. He added that “being part of the Turkic world, we hope that the Turkic world will not leave us, should Gagauzian people face any difficulties.”

The busts of the ninth president of Turkey Suleyman Demirel and Azerbaijan president Geydar Aliyev have also been installed at the Fame Alley in Gagauzia.
