Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Karim Massimov met with Nobel prizewinners, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Prime-Minister's Twitter.

“Met with Nobel Laureates Sir James Mirrlees, Robert Mundell, John Nash, Robert Aumann, Finn E. Kydland and Roger Kornberg at the Astana Economic Forum” posted Massimov in his blog. The blog also gives short information on the prizewinners and their inventions.

Sir James Alexander Mirrlees is a Scottish economist and winner of the 1996 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Mirrlees shared a prize with William Vickrey "for their fundamental contributions to the economic theory of incentives under asymmetric information".

John Forbes Nash, Jr. is an American mathematician whose works in game theory, differential geometry, and partial differential equations have provided insight into the forces that govern chance and events inside complex systems in daily life. He shared the 1994 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with game theorists Reinhard Selten and John Harsanyi" for the analysis of equilibria in the theory of non-cooperative games".

Robert Mundell is a professor of economics at Columbia University and the recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 1999. Mundell laid the groundwork for the introduction of the euro through his pioneering work in monetary dynamics and optimum currency areas.

Robert John Aumann is an Israeli-American mathematician and a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences. Aumann received the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2005 for his work on conflict and cooperation through game-theory analysis. He shared the prize with Thomas Schelling.

Roger David Kornberg is an American biochemist and professor of structural biology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Kornberg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2006 for his studies of the process by which genetic information from DNA is copied to RNA, "the molecular basis of eukaryotic transcription."

Finn Erling Kydland is a Norwegian economist. He is currently the Henley Professor of Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Kydland was a co-recipient of the 2004 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics (shared with Edward C. Prescott), "for their contributions to dynamic macroeconomics: the time consistency of economic policy and the driving forces behind business cycles".
