British embassy in Kazakhstan opens condolence book over Thatcher's death

12 апреля 2013, 12:01
The embassy of Great Britain in Kazakhstan has opened the book of condolences over death of former UK Prime-Minister Margaret Thatcher, the embassy writes on Twitter.

“The book of condolences over death of baroness Margaret Thatcher is open in the embassy from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. until the end of this week,” the embassy writes.

Iron Lady Margaret Thatcher died on Monday, April 8, at the age of 87. The former premier, who led Britain from 1979 to 1990, suffered from dementia and has appeared rarely in public in recent years. She was the only woman to hold this position in Great Britain and the first woman to become Prime-Minister in a European country. The Iron Lady had been in her position for the longest period in the 20th century.
