The world's youngest grandmaster, 12-y.o. Zhansaya Abdumalik, mulls to get into the Top-100 world's best chess-players by the end of the year, Vesti.kz writes. She is currently ranked 677th in FIDE rating (World Chess Federation rating).

Abdumalik managed to fulfill the grandmaster requirements several days ago. She achieved this is three stages. The first requirement was fulfilled last June at the tournament in Indonesia among girls up to 20 y.o.; she won the first prize there. She performed the remaining two requirements this year at the tournaments in Russia and Ukraine.

"I had two dreams since I started playing chess: to become the youngest grandmaster and the world champion among women. One of my dreams has come true and I'm now the world's youngest grandmaster," the young Kazakhstan citizen said.

Abdumalik currently continues preparation for new tournaments with her coach Aleksander Nikitin, former coach of Garry Kasparov. The expert has been coaching Abdumalik for the last three months and believes she has a brilliant future. The nearest plans of Zhansaya are to participate in the world championship in Astana and then prepare for the world championship among women up to 20 y.o. that starts in Athens on August 1.
