Chairman of Kazakhstan National Bank Gregory Marchenko plans to retire in 2015, KazTAG reports. “I will turn 55 in December 2014 and my 6-year contract finishes in January. I would like to retire in 2015, as I have saved enough money (on the pension account): I have around 28 million tenge ($187 thousand), including the investment profits and voluntary deductions. This will be enough for life, in general,” Marchenko said during online-conference at profinance.kz on Tuesday. “I have got obligations to the President, personnel of the National Bank and the people. I am taking it very seriously. If I did not treat my job this way, I wouldn't be here now. As I have said many times, in the private sector I had a salary that was several times higher then my current one. It is very important for me to complete this work,” he stressed.
